Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us for as long as needed to respond. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical details whenever a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates, times, and duration
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed during the visit
- A referring website, when supplied
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics services combine that activity into performance data. A browser can reject cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a search request to the selected partner
- Maintaining reliable and responsive pages
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Understanding which information visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Saline County guidance identifies records held by the Sheriff, County Court, District Court clerk, Nebraska State Patrol CID, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own policies, not this policy, govern submitted queries. Each partner chooses how long to retain information and when to share it. Review those terms before using a search tool.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to government offices, court portals, agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted advertisements.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data can be available to:
- Analytics services measuring site use and performance
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving content on a page
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures protect the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee complete security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such data is identified, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights. Nebraska's Public Records Statutes govern records held by public bodies, while Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-3523 limits dissemination of specified criminal-history information. Those government-record laws do not turn this private resource into a public custodian. For data we control, you may:
- Request deletion of eligible information
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Object to certain processing where the law permits
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A replacement becomes effective when posted here with an updated date.
